El hombre, en el centro de la noticia

Desde sus orígenes, el periodismo ha sido un oficio para contar historias.

Su fuerza descansa en la capacidad de trasmitir un hecho real procurando que, mediante el texto o el recurso audiovisual, los usuarios de la información puedan sentirse testigos de la historia.

Mientras más atractivo sea el contenido, es decir, si las historias son bien contadas y se apoyan en la verdad y en el justo contexto de los hechos, más poder seductor tendrá entre los usuarios para capturar su atención y su interés.

Una buena narración de un episodio real requiere, fundamentalmente, que el redactor sepa manejar el lenguaje descriptivo para tocar los sentidos del ser humano, para despertar las fibras de sus emociones y hacerlo partícipe del hecho.

Con las transformaciones que ha experimentado la comunicación social, han surgido nuevos parámetros que obligan a los periodistas profesionales a repensar en el formidable valor que tienen la crónica y el reportaje para ofrecer a los usuarios de las modernas plataformas lo que está más allá de las simples cápsulas noticiosas o de las fugaces imágenes de un episodio.

El reto está en recobrar la razón de ser del periodismo, que es la de contar historias, pero yendo a unos planos del escenario que a menudo quedan fuera de los focos de las cápsulas noticiosas. Y la mejor alternativa, a mi entender, es la de situar siempre al hombre en el centro de la noticia para poder construir, con la vivencia personal del protagonista o testigo directo, la verdadera realidad detrás del hecho mismo.

Los grandes medios impresos del mundo, conscientes de que no pueden brindar ni difundir todo el torrente de informaciones que publican las multiplataforma del internet, apuestan ahora a la centralidad del hombre y su realidad para descubrir muchos aspectos que se desechan en la carrera por la velocidad y la síntesis.

Allí donde basta un dato preciso del número de muertos en un deslave de montaña, en un terremoto, en un ataque sangriento de los terroristas para captar la dimensión de una tragedia, el contenido más valioso es aquel que recoge los sufrimientos, vicisitudes, emociones y miedos de los que pudieron sobrevivir, aunque sea el testimonio de un solo hombre, porque en él estará reflejado el sentir o el destino de muchos de nuestros lectores.

The human race, on the middle point of the news

From its origins, journalism has been a profession to tell stories.

Its strength lays on the ability of broadcasting a real fact or event while ensuring that, through the text or the audiovisual resources, the receivers of such information can feel like real witnesses of the story.

The more seductive the content is, the more attractive power it will have to capture those users and stimulate their interest, that is, if the stories are told in an amazing manner and based on the real context of the facts.

A great narration of a real episode requires, fundamentally, that the writer knows how to handle the descriptive language to touch the senses of the human-being, to awaken the fibers of their emotions and make them part of the fact.

With the transformations that social communications have undergone, new parameters have emerged to force professional journalists to rethink the formidable value of chronicles and reports, to offer the users of these modern platforms what's considered to be beyond the simple news' capsules or the fleeting images of an episode.

The challenge is to recover the reason of existance of journalism, which is to tell stories, but by stepping onto some stages that are often outside the focus of the news' capsules. And the best alternative, in my opinion, is to always place the human-being at the center of the news in order to craft, based on the personal experience of the protagonists or live witnesses, the true reality behind the event itself.

The major newspapers of the world, aware that they can not provide or disseminate all the torrent of information published on the countless platforms of the Internet, now bet on the centrality of human and their reality to discover many aspects that are discarded in the rush for the synthesis.

Where it'd be enough to just give out a precise number of deaths in a mountain landslide, in an earthquake or in a bloody terrorist attack, the most valuable words would actually be those that collect the sufferings, vicissitudes, emotions and fears of those who did survive, even if it's the testimony of a single person, because in such kind of content is where the future and hard feelings of the readers are reflected.
